What is the procedure for filling an analytical sample cell?

Filling an analytical cell with AUCAfter a cell is assembled, it can be filled with a sample and a reference. To fill, the cell is held on its side so the top (screw ring) faces you, and the holes are on top. In this arrangement, the reference goes into the left hole and the sample in the right hole. Sample injection can occur via a pipet or syringe.

After cell holes are filled, they’re plugged with at least one gasket (two are recommended). Housing plugs should be screwed into the holes in the housing.Analytical cell housing plugs and gaskets with AUC

When placing an AUC cell in the rotor, fill holes should be toward the inside (center) of the rotor to prevent leaking while the rotor spins, and for the correct orientation of the centerpiece.
