Myeloid Malignancies

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogenous disease with multifactorial pathology including, but not limited to, genetics, cell lineage – erythroid, megakaryocytic, and monocytic – and degree of maturation of blast cells.

Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is defined as a spectrum of rare blood disorders associated with faulty development and maturation of myeloid cells in the bone marrow without a known cause.
